The Dell PowerVault MD3860i iSCSI array provides 10Gb Ethernet iSCSI SAN solutions that are appropriate for entry-level storage consolidation in virtualized applications requiring high availability and high performance without sacrificing usability. The MD3860i iSCSI array supports several drive types, enclosures, and RAID levels in a single array.

PowerVault MD3860i iSCSI arrays provide great performance and storage consolidation and scalability to match the needs of your business. It is now straightforward to increase storage utilisation by merging storage resources, enhancing hardware availability using redundant hardware, and optimising the backup procedure.

Using low-cost 10GBASE-T Ethernet technology, the MD3860i iSCSI array can be used to implement a high-performance network storage solution at a lower cost. In addition to hardware reductions, IP SANs can save training expenditures. Ethernet is a well-known technology, therefore often there is no learning curve.
Now you can effectively consolidate storage to sustain the value of your virtual environment while meeting the performance requirements of IOPS-intensive and high-bandwidth applications. MD3 storage systems are fully approved for use in VMware ESX and Microsoft Hyper-V virtualized application environments.

MD3860i iSCSI arrays provide high performance and capacity at a low cost. They manage the application requirements of huge databases with ease because to their improved processing capacity. To address the most demanding I/O requirements, these arrays can enable solid-state discs (SSD). High-Performance Tier (HPT) is an optional feature that improves array I/O and throughput speed and enables the SSD cache capability to improve read performance by caching frequently accessed data. With dual controllers, a maximum of 16GB cache is available, with 8GB cache per controller.

Up to 64 servers can be connected to a single MD3 10Gb iSCSI array, allowing for easy scalability. On all MD3 iSCSI variants, the storage capacity can be extended up to a maximum of 120 hard drives. If more capacity is required, the 2U models can be expanded by hot-plugging additional PowerVault MD1200 or MD1220 expansion enclosures to accommodate up to 192 additional hard drives. Using two MD3060e expansion enclosures, 4U dense arrays may extend up to 180 hard drives in just 12U using two MD3060e expansion enclosures.

Bytestock offers a vast assortment of new and reconditioned Dell PowerVault MD3860i servers.
