The products

The HPE ProLiant ML350 server tower is a great asset to any business, whether it's in the front office, branch office, or rack mounted in your server room once your firm has outgrown its boundaries. The performance of the ML350 Gen10 is impressive, with support for up to two 28-core top-of-the-line CPUs, up to 3TB of memory, and a maximum storage capacity of up to 184TB using SFF SSDs.

The HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen10 takes advantage of the new scalable CPUs to improve performance and increase core counts. This is a highly adaptable platform that can accommodate up to four double-wide GPUs for a dense Virtual Desktop infrastructure or graphics-intensive tasks. An extra storage cage can accommodate up to eight NVMe solid state drives for improved performance and resilience. This tower server may also be rack mounted with an optional tower to rack conversion kit, which works with both this server and the HPE ProLiant ML110 Gen10 server.

You can install one or two Intel Scalable processors with up to 28 cores from the Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum families. Each processor can handle up to six memory lanes. A 500W, 800W, or 1600W flex slot hot plug power supply is available in redundant or non-redundant variants.

The system board has 24 memory slots in total, with 12 memory slots assigned to each processor. As previously stated, each processor has six memory channels, each of which can support two memory modules.

The HPE ML350 Gen10 platform supports up to 24 x 2.5-inch SAS, SATA SSDs, HDDs, and up to eight SFF NVMe PCIe drives for storage. The 2.5-inch chassis configuration includes a standard drive cage on the lower half of the chassis that accommodates 8x 2.5-inch drive bays. Two more drive cages, each supporting eight 2.5-inch drives, can be fitted, increasing the total to 24 2.5-inch drive bays. NVMe SSDs are only supported on the 2.5-inch chassis and must be put in the optional Express Bay drive cage in the centre. Each x4 Direct Attached PCIe NVMe riser board in an NVMe kit may accommodate four drives, for a total of eight with both risers fitted. A 3.5-inch drive bay chassis design is also available, which can host up to 12 front-mounted drive bays in total. The 3.5-inch chassis configurations are essentially similar, with three distinct drive cages, each of which can handle four 3.5-inch drives for a total of 12. At the top of each configuration is a control panel containing system health, NIC status, two USB 3.0 ports, and a dedicated iLO service connector. This system includes a front bezel with a security lock as standard equipment. There is also a single MicroSD card slot beneath the power supply, next to PCIe slots 5-8. The hard discs are managed by the integrated HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 SW RAID. M.2 drives are supported via a universal enablement card kit and are restricted to PCIe slots 1-4, with a total of one enablement kit supported. M.2 only supports software RAID. Some of these combinations may necessitate the use of a redundant fan kit.
